Woman dies and four children injured after house fire in Northwest Bakersfield

Kern County Fire Department said a woman died after a house fire in Northwest Bakersfield Friday. Firefighters were called to the home on the 10-thousand block of Cave Avenue just before midnight. Upon dispatch they were told people were still inside the home. When crews arrived they were able to locate the woman and attempted to rescue her.
