Woman accused of operating 'sham' nonprofit leased luxury cars, bought Ventura property, reports say
A Bakersfield woman who authorities say established a "sham" nonprofit for the purposes of tax evasion ultimately failed to report more than $1.5 million of income and bought luxury vehicles and property in Ventura County before the deception was uncovered, according to court documents.
