(KBAK/KBFX) - In the few years that Mesa Verde ICE Processing Facility has been operating in Bakersfield, pro-immigration groups have been leading the charge to shut it down, and soon, it will likely close. At the end of last year, McFarland City Council revoked their intergovernmental agreement with the Geo Group, the privately held company that owns Mesa Verde, as well as other detention centers and prisons across the country.
