Walmart to build high-tech grocery distro center in Shafter, creating 300 jobs
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – Walmart announced Thursday that it’s building a high-tech distribution center for fresh and frozen groceries in Shafter. The company calls this center the first of its kind. The facility will open in fall 2020, the company said. Elevate Public Affairs said, on behalf of Walmart, that the center will create 300 full-time jobs, including 100 that need scientific and technical skills. Path to Full Story on 29 Eyewitness News
