Walk helps raise awareness for disease, supporters pay tribute to former mayor Harvey Hall

Hundreds helped raise awareness for Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease in memory of former mayor Harvey Hall during a walk at Lake Ming Sunday. The two mile walk helped raise awareness for the rare neurodegenerative disease that has no treatment or cure. Former mayor Harvey Hall became suddenly ill in April of this year and in a few short weeks he died due to what was diagnosed as the sporadic form of creutzfeldt-jakob disease.
