Vacant home catches fire in northwest Bakersfield

Kern County Fire Department said a home that caught fire in northwest Bakersfield was vacant. Bakersfield and Kern County fire crews worked together to put out the flames. It happened around 2 a. m. Monday near Rosedale Highway and Jenkins Road. No one was found inside and fire crews said no injuries were reported. Arson investigators were called to determine a cause of the fire.
