UFW: Farmworkers in Kern County go on strike

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – Farmworkers went on strike Friday at The Wonderful Company in Kern County, according to the United Farm Workers. Workers on site said they're unhappy with being paid less than they were last season. It's unclear if the UFW served in an official organizing capacity. The Wonderful Company recently announced that it was raising its minimum wage to $15 an hour for full-time employees. Path to Full Story on 29 Eyewitness News
