Teen dies nine days after being struck by vehicle

A 17-year-old struck by a vehicle last month was pronounced dead at a local hospital Aug. 1, according to a coroner’s office release.Kareem Ahmed was hit by a vehicle on July 23 just east of the intersection of Harris Road and Mountain Vista Drive, the release said.
