
Bryan Mathews and James Miller have been running marathons for years. But tomorrow, they plan on participating in the third annual Bakersfield marathon on a team with someone extra special. That someone is Anastasia Pursel, a leukemia survivor and the daughter of two of Mathews’ and Miller’s friends. “We’ve known her parents since she was about three years old, and she’s always been active.
