TJ Cox declares victory in congressional race against David Valadao

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – TJ Cox on Wednesday declared victory in his congressional race against incumbent David Valadao in the 21st District. The Associated Press had declared Valadao the winner but votes that have been counted since the Nov. 6 election steadily narrowed the race, and the AP retracted its race call after Cox took the lead within the last couple days.
