Sylmar woman's 2012 death ruled homicide

A 54-year old Sylmar woman died March 9 from medical complications she acquired after being assaulted in Kern County more than four years ago, the Kern County Coroner's Office said Wednesday.Sally Hernandez's official cause of death is now homicide, coroners said.
