Supervisors nix bringing potentially dangerous crude oil to Kern County

County leaders have officially stopped a project that would have brought Bakken crude oil to Kern County for refining. On Tuesday, the Kern County Board of Supervisors rescinded the permit they initially granted to Alon USA back in 2014. The permit would have let Alon send crude oil from North Dakota to Kern County.
