Small stretch of 23rd Street permanently closed as part of 24th Street widening project

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – The city has permanently closed a short section of 23rd Street as part of the 24th Street widening project. The project, which will expand the 24th Street/Oak Street intersection and widen a stretch of 24th to about M Street, should be finished in a little over a year, City Manager Alan Tandy recently said.
