Shafter woman ordered held for trial in death of baby
A 27-year-old woman was ordered held for trial Monday in connection with the June death of her newborn baby in Shafter.Judge Brian M. McNamara determined there was enough evidence for Elvira Farias to stand trial on charges of murder and assaulting a child under 8 years old resulting in death.
