Several roads closed after water main break in downtown Bakersfield
A water main break in downtown Bakersfield has closed several roads. The initial call came in around 4:45 Monday morning. Bakersfield police were called to 17th and Eye Streets for a water main break. Officials say when the arrived the found the area impacted was actually greater. 17th and 18th streets were closed at Chester Avenue and Eye Street. Cal Water is on scene looking for a source of the break. Authorities aren't sure when it will be cleaned up or when the roads will reopen. Path to Full Story on 29 Eyewitness News
