
Unsafe conditions due to the government shutdown are prompting the closure of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks Wednesday evening. The parks will be closed at 6 p. m. and likely stay closed until the government shutdown ends. This closure supersedes any previous closures, according to a news release from the parks.
