Police cruiser hit after officer fails to yield

A Bakersfield police officer traveling south on Chester Avenue Tuesday afternoon was involved in a crash after entering Garces Circle and failing to yield to an oncoming vehicle.The officer’s car was struck in the left front area by the other vehicle, police said.
