Person killed in crash near Arvin

The driver of a truck was killed in a crash on Wheeler Ridge and Herring Road Saturday night. The California Highway Patrol said another truck was was heading northbound on Wheeler Ridge around 6:00 p. m. when it began to slow down to make a left hand turn. The driver of the truck following did not notice and failed to stop, crashing into the other truck. The driver of that truck was pronounced dead at the scene, according to CHP.
