PG&E turns to bankruptcy as a solution to its ongoing issues

In the face of mounting liabilities and falling stock prices PG&E announced it intends to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, in a statement Monday. The announcement comes just one day after the utility company's CEO Geisha Williams resigned. Local bankruptcy attorney Patrick Kavanagh said other than the possibility of higher rates, consumers probably won’t experience too many changes to their service.
