One arrested after firearm found during peace disturbance

Police arrested a man Sunday morning after a firearm was found during a peace disturbance. Officers said they found a large group of people refusing to leave the area of 805 34th Street when they arrived. During the disturbance officers noticed 23-year-old Kelvin Peterson attempt to get rid of a loaded handgun. Officers arrested Peterson shortly afterwards.
