None injured in small plane crash at Kern Valley Airport

A small plane crash near Kern Valley Airport left the airport closed Sunday morning. Witnesses say the plane was taking off when it caught fire just as it was off the ground. The pilot and the passenger inside were able to make it out of the plane and were uninjured. The pilot was the owner of the plane, according to witnesses.
