New, local hybridized rose on display Saturday

A new, compact, red informal floribunda-type rose has been created right here in Bakersfield. It was bred by local hybridizer Dr. Jim Sproul from a cross of Pearl Sanford and X Thrive. Both of the parents are seedlings of his. Over the years, Jim has donated several roses to fundraisers to raise Path to Full Story on The Bakersfield Californian
