
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – Rep. Kevin McCarthy on Tuesday announced the Department of Veterans Affairs is moving forward with a new “state-of-the-art” clinic in Bakersfield. McCarthy said the facility will be built at Olive and Knudsen drives. He said groundbreaking should take place in a couple months. The current Bakersfield VA clinic is 26 years old, McCarthy said.
