Man shot and killed in southeast Bakersfield

A 24-year-old man was fatally shot in southeast Bakersfield Wednesday evening. Deputies were dispatched to the 900 block of McNew Court at 8:34 p.m. and found Markus Jones suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office and coroner officials.
