Man receives life sentence for firing at officers during 2014 standoff
A man who fired at officers during a four-hour standoff in 2014 was sentenced Thursday to 37 years to life in prison.A Kern County jury had convicted 31-year-old Miguel Villanueva of 22 felonies, including multiple accounts of attempted murder and assault with a gun on a peace officer.
