Man convicted of sexually assaulting 14-year-old in Bakersfield park

A Kern County jury Wednesday convicted a man of sexually assaulting and choking a 14-year-old girl in a Bakersfield park.Kenneth Garvin, 31, was found guilty of sexual battery and three other felony counts in the October 2014 attack in Heritage Park, a District Attorney’s office news release said.
