
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – The man accused of calling in fake reports of active shooters at Bakersfield hospitals has taken a plea deal. Mario Thompson faced seven charges. Tuesday, he pleaded no contest to the lone felony charge – impersonating an officer – and all six misdemeanor charges were dropped. Sentencing is scheduled for next month. He was arrested early this month for allegedly making false reports twice: Dec. 4 at Memorial Hospital and Aug. 1 at Mercy Southwest Hospital. Path to Full Story on 29 Eyewitness News
