
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – The man accused of calling in fake reports of active shooters at Bakersfield hospitals has been sentenced to three years on probation. Mario Thompson faced seven charges, but the charge for making a false report and five others were dropped. He pleaded no contest to the lone felony count, impersonating an officer. Thompson was arrested last month for allegedly making false reports twice: Dec. 4 at Memorial Hospital and Aug. 1 at Mercy Southwest Hospital. Path to Full Story on 29 Eyewitness News
