Local discus thrower wins AAU Junior Olympics
On Aug. 3, Faith Bender of Bakersfield took first place at the AAU Junior Olympics for Discus in her age group.She also broke the national AAU Junior Olympic Discus Record for 14-year-old girls, setting a new record of 141 feet and one inch.
