Liberty HS coach, teacher faces criminal charge of annoying a child

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – A math teacher and coach at Liberty High School in Bakersfield has been charged with annoying a child. Jeff Hicks, the boys’ varsity basketball coach, is also on administrative leave, according to a Kern High School District spokeswoman. Hicks faces a misdemeanor charge that was filed Monday, according to the Kern County court website. Police haven’t released details of their investigation. Path to Full Story on 29 Eyewitness News
