Kern supervisors to examine fee opposed by hospitals

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – The Kern County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday decided to examine a proposed fee that drew opposition from hospitals. The $25,000 fee is being suggested by the Kern County Department of Public Health and would be paid by the hospitals to reimburse the county for routine checks it performs at the hospitals to ensure they meet the criteria as a designated ambulance destination.
