Kern DA: City Council candidate, others accused of voter fraud

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – A Bakersfield City Council candidate and two other men are being accused of voter fraud by the Kern County District Attorney’s Office. Gilberto De La Torre, who is a candidate for Tuesday’s Ward 1 election, faces a misdemeanor charge for allegedly trying to vote more than once in a 2016 election, Deputy District Attorney Chris E.
