Kern County aiming for zero suicide

September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month and here at Eyewitness News we’re continuing our commitment to starting a community conversation about suicide to raise awareness and prevention. Last year, Kern County Behavioral Health & Recovery Services rolled out the Zero Suicide Initiative. “Zero suicide is an evidence-based practice to incorporate the entire community," Bill Walker, director at Kern Behavioral, said.
