Kern County Fire Department gets $14 million loan from general fund
The Kern County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday begrudgingly loaned the Fire Department $14 million to allow it to continue making payroll.The department will pay back the loan by July 9 and likely sooner, officials agreed. The department is still waiting Path to Full Story on 29 Eyewitness News
