Hundreds of firefighters battle to protect Bear Valley Springs, Hart Flat

Firefighters, some of whom have been battling local blazes for two weeks now, fought exhaustion, heat and wind Saturday to protect the communities of Bear Valley Springs and Hart Flat from the Deer Fire.And as of 2 p.m., they were succeeding, though threats remained to the two towns, especially Path to Full Story on The Bakersfield Californian
