How Kern County can help those effected by Florence

Since it made landfall on Friday, tropical depression Florence has ravaged communities across the Carolinas, leaving several people dead as of Sunday afternoon. Seeing the storm’s destruction, many here in Kern County are asking what they can do to help those in need. “One of the major things we need is money, to keep our operation moving so smoothly like it is,” said Cindy Huge of the American Red Cross.
