GET will continue to offer free rides Tuesday as the air continues to be really polluted

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – With the air quality continuing to be very poor in Bakersfield, Golden Empire Transit District is again offering free bus rides Tuesday. “All customers ride free on all buses, all routes, including GET-A-LIFT,” spokeswoman Deekay Fox wrote in an email Monday afternoon. The goal is to keep cars off the road to keep the air quality from getting worse during highly polluted times. The free GET rides have been in effect since the weekend.
