Fire Department: Homeless woman seen running away from vacant house fire

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – The cause of a vacant house fire in south Bakersfield is under investigation. “The entire house was engulfed in flames on our arrival,” said Mike Lencioni of the Bakersfield Fire Department. He said the fire started around 6:30 a. m. on Sunshine Avenue, which is a little south of the Kern County Fairgrounds. Lencioni said neighbors reported seeing a homeless woman, who sometimes uses the house, running away after the fire started. Path to Full Story on 29 Eyewitness News
