Driver injured after truck crashes into vacant church

The driver of a truck was injured in a crash Friday night after driving into a church. Officers said the man was parked outside the Iglesia De Cristo Miel church on Brundage Lane when he began to suffer a diabetic episode. During the episode he drove the truck into the church, which was vacant at the time, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.
