Driver booked on murder, DUI charges for deadly crash

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – Police have arrested a man on charges of murder and drunken driving for a deadly crash earlier this week. Two cars were involved in the crash around midnight Monday on Panama Lane at the Highway 99 off-ramps. One of the drivers, 28-year-old Pablo Villareal Garcia, was killed. His passenger suffered significant injures, police said. Tuesday, police arrested Cristian Avalos, who turns 25 Wednesday, according to jail booking records. Path to Full Story on 29 Eyewitness News
