Crashed airplane found in rugged, snowy Kern mountains

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – An airplane’s wreckage has been located in the Tehachapi mountains. Sgt. Steve Williams with the Kern County Sheriff’s Office search-and-rescue team also said they’ve confirmed at least one death. Three people were reported to have been on the airplane. The twin-engine Beechcraft private plane was traveling from San Luis Obispo to Los Angeles. The pilot’s son called authorities when it was overdue Thursday night, Williams said.
