Coroner releases name of man killed by train

A man who died Wednesday after being struck by a train has been identified by the Kern County Coroner.Vincent Lee Vantassel, 50, died at 4:23 p.m. Wednesday when he was struck by a train at the tracks on Norris Road east of the Highway 99 overpass, according to a news release from the coroner.
