Celebrate Black History Month by entering the Bakersfield parade

The 25th annual Bakersfield Black American History Parade takes place Feb. 23. The theme for this year’s parade is “Our Legacy: Remembered, Honored & Celebrated. ” The parade begins at 10 a. m. at 21st and V streets, then heads west on 21st Street to M Street, then south on M Street to 20th Street, then east on 20th Street to 20th and R streets, where the parade ends around noon.
