BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – Dozens of Bird scooters have landed in Bakersfield. They are a fleet of rentable electric scooters. Customers can use a smartphone app to locate and unlock a scooter that’s nearby. The company says the scooters are intended for short-distance commutes (under a couple miles) and to reduce cars on the road, and therefore cut carbon emissions.
