
A raspberry giveaway Friday morning drew a big crowd at California State University, Bakersfield. The campus food pantry received 17,000 plastic clamshells of raspberries to give out to students and staff. The school’s sustainability coordinator, who counts reducing food waste among her duties, said a trucking company gave the berries to CSUB after a store refused delivery.
