Bicycle rider hit, killed by vehicle in east Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – A bicyclist was hit and killed by a vehicle Monday night at Oswell Street and Alloway Lane in east Bakersfield. The California Highway Patrol said the driver of a Dodge was headed north at 45 mph on Oswell when the cyclist entered the intersection and rode into the vehicle’s path. The CHP said the bicycle wasn’t equipped with lights or reflectors, and the collision occurred shortly after 10 p. m. Path to Full Story on 29 Eyewitness News
