Bakersfield woman, 72, sustains major injuries after being hit by car

A 72-year-old woman was struck by a car as she attempted to cross River Boulevard near Noble Elementary School. The woman, from Bakersfield, was pushing a young boy in a stroller when a brown Lincoln LS sedan driving south on River Boulevard struck her, according to California Highway Patrol Sgt. Patrick Etchebarne. She sustained major injuries, including head trauma and internal injuries, and was taken to Kern Medical Center. Path to Full Story on 29 Eyewitness News
