Bakersfield ranked seventh deadliest city for pedestrians

A new report by SmartGrowth. org ranks Bakersfield as one of the deadliest cities for pedestrians. Research shows 247 recorded deaths over the past decade. According to California Highway Patrol, in 2017 100 pedestrians were involved in collisions or crashes. That number increased in 2018, with 106 pedestrians involved in collisions or crashes.
