Bakersfield police give tips to prevent theft of holiday packages

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – Police are warning people to be vigilant to avoid theft of their holiday packages. "... this is prime season for package thieves," police posted on Facebook. Police offered these theft-prevention tips: Request delivery alerts. Ask a neighbor to hold a package when you are not home. Do not report a stolen package on social media.
