Bakersfield police bomb squad called out for suspicious packages
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – The police bomb squad responded Tuesday to a trio of suspicious packages near busy Truxtun Avenue. Sgt. Christopher Feola said the bomb squad investigated and determined the three wrapped packages were harmless. Asked what was inside, Feola responded, “probably trash. ” No evacuations were ordered – folks in the area were asked to shelter in place – and traffic on Truxtun wasn’t affected.
